GREATER SWISS MOUNTAIN DOGS

  PUPPIES AVAILABLE NOW Nov. 2011

Here on the farm I have a couple cow dogs I use for working cattle and I also have my beloved GREATER SWISS MOUNTAIN DOGS…

Have any of you tried to get a GSMD and had to deal with the owners and their drama ? I sure have ! and I didn’t like it, so I have decided to not put other people through what some breeders might make you do.

I do however believe in keeping the breed to standard and when I did finally get my Swissy’s I waited until I could get some nice ones from nice people (-:

I’m not a breeder per say, non of my dogs live in a kennel, matter of fact I don’t even have a kennel on the property, they are raised right under foot, out in the hills and around stock with me when I go out and about for the day. I had owned, shown, bred Bullmastiffs for over 13 years some years ago but the past 5 years I have been into the GSMD. I want people to be able to own this precious breed, and pass on their love to these fine animals. All of the puppies here are around everything that is done daily like when they are first born and in the house, they are exposed to the vacuum, laudry machines running, people in and out and handled ALL THE TIME. When they get moved outside I am always good about exposing them to like power tool noises, tractors etc. Of course you may have a shy pup or two out of the bunch but not near as shy as one that are not exposed at all or just raised in a wire box.

These pups below are from past litters.

She’s not a “Swissy” but she is my Border Collie cattle working dog and she makes this farm a much easier place to run with her around (-: Love my Rollie !
